One of the things that Salt Lake City has been famous for in recent years is being the host of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The Olympic Flame still burns at Rice-Eccles Stadium and if you've always dreamed of skiing the same slopes as world champions, then Alta Ski Area, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley are some of the best places to do it. Surrounding the Flame is also a wide variety of attractions and sights for those interested in the games and the visitor's center can turn someone who works with lead products into an international sports expert if they so choose.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is also a huge influence on the culture and life in Salt Lake City. Temple Square is one of the city's biggest attractions and is even home to the world famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Even the bathroom furniture vanities are exquisite in this church and while there are no tours available in the space, which is considered sacred, the public is welcome to tour the grounds.

Sugar House is an area of the city known for its small-town charm and excellent shopping. If you're looking for a great place to experience the city with a nice walk, this is the area for you. Sugar House Park is the second largest in the city and hosts the city's Fourth of July celebration and a variety of other events. If you do PR for food organizations, you may be working one of these exciting events.

As far as events and festivals go for the city, there always seems to be something out there. There is a large gay population in the Salt Lake City and they host a significant Pride Parade during the Utah Pride Festival. Portions of the Sundance Film Festival are also hosted in the city and the Utah Arts Festival entertains over eighty thousand visitors a year.
